Description
Orbs! is a relaxing tabletop simulation that lets you immerse your hands in a pile of thousands of colorful little orbs. It's perfect for when you just want something to focus your attention on, and fiddle with, to take your mind off of things.
There are no scores, no timers, and no goals. There's just your two hands, buttons to change color, flip gravity, slow time, and a big pile of incredibly satisfying little orbs to knock about and run your fingers through.
Micron Engine
Orbs! is the first game released using Micron Engine, a VR-only game engine tailored to the unique needs of standalone VR devices. Micron is designed for rapid iteration, and can build, package, and deploy apps from source to Meta Quest in 10 seconds.
Micron features a custom physics solver tailor-made for VR content. A limited version of this physics solver is showcased in Orbs, while the fully featured solver powers our next title: Mage Trainer. Releasing a new engine is risky business, so Orbs gives me an opportunity to make sure everything is working with a small, focused game. I do hope you enjoy it!
